How Great is Our God

Have A Good Perception of God

Message from Louie Giglio of Passion City Church: How Great is Our God.

We are wonderfully made. We are fashioned together by God. In the womb, a miracle happens.

There are 75 trillion cells in a body. Every cell has a job in the body. Check out laminin! It is a protein molecule. It holds the membranes together. It is the glue of the human body.

Behold, this is how the laminin looks like: The Cross!

The actual image of the laminin looks like this:

We have the Greater one living in us. He Who lives in us is greater than he who is in the world [1John 4:4].

The fingerprints of God are stamped all over and in us! This is proof of ownership!

We belong to God!

The four nucleotides in a person’s DNA write out 3 billion characters description of the person, written in the language of God. If the DNA is to be stretched out, it will be 6 feet long. It takes 96 years to read the description of a person as written in his DNA.

Nucleotides. The four bases found in DNA are adenine (abbreviated A), cytosine (C), guanine (G) and thymine (T).

Colossians 1:17
And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together).

Colossians 1:19-20
19For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently.
20And God purposed that through (by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross.

1 John 4:10
In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.

In the midst of all our troubles and tribulations, when we feel we don’t have the strength to take even one more breath, remember this: there are millions and millions of microscopic crosses holding us together with one giant Cross pointing to the love of God for us!

Even when we let go of Him, He will never let us go!

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.

Wouldn’t that just makes us want to thank Him! How Great Thou Art!

Labor Pains

John 16:21-22 likened Jesus' disciples to a woman in labor.
21A woman, when she gives birth to a child, has grief (anguish, agony) because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she no longer remembers her pain (trouble, anguish) because she is so glad that a man (a child, a human being) has been born into the world.

22So for the present you are also in sorrow (in distress and depressed); but I will see you again and [then] your hearts will rejoice, and no one can take from you your joy (gladness, delight).

John 16:33 is the epidural:
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]
